A Meditation of LOVE and LIGHT
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Episode 23
~ Trust in the wisdom of your innermost dwelling self. This is the part of you that lives awakened and of your light in the material world. ~
Have you ever wondered what the words 'love and light' symbolize? What is this salutation and greeting and how can these three simple words be the guiding metaphor for you and for each one of us, to free ourselves from the conditions that hold us back from being our true self?
Here and through the experience of guided meditation, embracing all religions and spiritual beliefs, let my words in this contemplative prose help you to discover your inner light and the love that you already are - to be and live in the world.
Love and light are the reminders of what your heart expresses in openness, in care, in love and in gratitude. It is what you exist as now and also what you aspire to.
In love and light you hold the space for yourself to exist. It is both a mantra and a reminder of how each one of us can walk through life in the pureness and grace of what we are.
You are love. You are the energy of love and pure light. If you see yourself as this; if you continue to remember that this is what you are, then you will feel at peace - comforted by your own choice to live as your light and of the playful ways that you are of love.
Now more than ever we thrive in our humanity; in the power of our word and our actions to live honorably - to be self-accountable and to always do the right thing.
In some of the episodes of The WISDOM podcast, I've previously included guided meditation because this is one important means of connecting with your highest self; to experience the energy of your heart, the energy of your being, to exist for a time as the nonphysical - to be aware of what you are beyond your mind and body and to also feel the peace and calm that exists within you.
I share this meditation of love and light. It's the first in a very special series of eight of which each meditation guides you on a journey deep within yourself and to witness the inner world of peace and tranquility, of love and kindness, of grace and the true power that we all hold when we live from this place.
Let your own life be guided by the presence of love and light. Let these words be your mantra for how you approach and live in all situations and of great dignity.
In the comments, I'd love to hear from you as to what you experienced during and after this heart opening meditation. It's a contemplate experience that awakens you to live as your nonphysical self - expansive and free.
Please settle into a comfortable posture and give this time and space to your whole being for the reminder of what you are and the gift of how to live of love and light now and always.
If you would like my help to feel the love and light that you are capable of living and feeling, please reach out to me. namaste! 🙏
Sending you great 💜 love...

Build A Positive Sense of Self:
8 Wildly Important ‘Best Practices' to Live By
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Episode 18
“You can check in with all of those who love you; whose love is unconditional and unwavering but the true feeling of certainty is born out of the love that you liberate yourself unto.” - dorothy zennuriye juno
Your positive sense of self is the means by which you live - awakened to know and appreciate all of the aspects that define you; in the context of how you witness yourself in the world, self-honest and willing to live honorably – to do the right thing – because this is how you experience yourself as a being of love.
In psychology, sense of self refers to your conceptualization of the collection of characteristics that define you.
Personality traits, abilities and skills, your likes and dislikes, your belief system, your morals and values, what motivates you — how you view yourself in relationships and your perception of how others relate to and receive you. These all contribute to self-esteem and your unique identity as a person.
There are many natural and organic ways that each one of us develops our sense of self beginning with our early childhood. With the known research in neural plasticity, we have the ability to change our sense of self; to develop a more positive and certainly a healthier sense of who we are.
In this episode we discuss what it means to have a healthy and strong sense of self – one that exists because of the relationship you build and nurture with yourself. This is the most important relationship you will ever have. It begins the true awakening of what lies within – what you are beyond the physical and your mind.
Sense of self is achieved by developing the means by which you can be comfortable and content in your own company and to enjoy the companionship of yourself.
Sending you great 💜 love...

LIVE AS LOVE. Do These 3 Things
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Episode 12
- a heartfelt plan if you looking to reconnect with yourself, and as you grow along your spiritual path -
These three best practices are to help you begin each day in balance and on the right footing; to shift your perspective and to focus yourself on what is most important.
The beauty of each best practice whether used in conjunction with one another or unto themselves and as their inherent power will return you to your divine state – each and every time you embody these.
If you’ve been wondering how you can bring more joy, more love, more light into your life, these three best practices are the way in which you open yourself to the god source.
You open yourself to live as the divine; as the energy of pure and unconditional love; as you hold deliberate intention and as you open your heart to this.
All of us are on a spiritual path. When you merge your physical reality with your experience as a spiritual being, you embrace the wisdom of the love you hold in your heart as a metaphor for how you live.
Embody the practice of living as love.
Allow the energy of the divine – your soul consciousness – to open you to love and to being love.
And if you would like my help as you navigate this new year in your life; to find and reach your greatness, your goals, your personal triumphs.... please reach out to me. namaste! 🙏

Chakra WISDOM: Your Anahata Chakra
The WISDOM podcast Season 2 Episode 78
Welcome back to this sacred journey into the chakras.
The chakra system originated in India between 1500 and 500 BC – more than four thousand years ago in the ancient literature of the Vedas. Evidence of the chakras, is also found in the Upanishads, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and perhaps most thoroughly in the sixteenth century by an Indian yogi in a text called the Sat-Chakra-Nirupana.
The chakra system was taught orally by the Indo-Eurpoean people (also called the Aryan people). It was traditionally considered an Eastern philosophy until New Age authors, like Anodea Judith and others, resonated with this wisdom and began writing about the chakras.
If you’ve been joining me in this series, I hope that you’ve allowed yourself to explore the wisdom of these ancient energy centers; these spinning sacred wheels of life. They are believed to hold energetic space within us; and which link areas of the body and psyche with associated metaphysical realms.
Within each episode in this series, I describe how each chakra affects our psychology, and our emotions and behaviours as human beings. Based on the teachings of this ancient wisdom and the modern day authors who bring this wisdom to life, I share it because it is yet another important way to understand the self; your patterns and behaviours; and how you may help yourself unblock and balance the flow of energy that moves through you. You also begin to draw insights and a helpful perspective from the ancient wisdom of the chakras, including what limiting thoughts and beliefs hold you back from living the full expression of life.
Perhaps, most important still, my hope is to give you additional resources and another source of self-healing; for finding and thriving ‘in balance’, and for helping to effect the change you seek – within yourself and of your life.
As I share with you the teachings of your fourth chakra, I reference and take direct quotes from Anodea Judith’s book: Eastern Body Western Mind: Psychology and the Chakra System as a Path to the Self and the work of Carolyn Myss and her book: Anatomy of the Spirit. The Seven Stages of Power and Healing. I’ll link up their work here in the description; as both are esteemed experts in this field, and these are great reads if you wish to learn more.
A chakra is a center of organization that receives, assimilates, and expresses life force energy. Based on their location in the body the chakras have become associated with various states of consciousness, archetypal elements, and philosophical constructs. The lower chakras, for example which are physically closer to the earth, are related to the more practical matters of our lives – survival, movement, action. They are ruled by physical and social law. The upper chakras represent mental realms and work on a symbolic level through words, images, and concepts. Each of the seven chakras from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, represents a major area of human psychological health.
Here we dive into your Anahata, your heart center. Since the heart chakra is the middle point in a system of seven centers, balance, together with love and relationship) are the essential principles at this level of integration. This implies both internal balance between various aspects of ourselves (mind and body, persona and shadow, masculine and feminine), as well as between ourselves and the world around us (for example: work and play, giving and receiving, socializing and being alone).
It is important to continue to find and live in equilibrium, for without balance within ourselves it is difficult, if not impossible, to achieve healthy and long-lasting love relationships. The basic right of the heart chakra is to love and to be loved.
Be sure to take part in the guided meditation that closes out this episode. It is a beautiful experience in balancing the beautiful sacred energy of this chakra. 🧘♀️💜 Namaste!

Chakra WISDOM: Your Manipura Chakra
The WISDOM podcast Season 2 Episode 76
Welcome to this beautiful series and a journey through these sacred centers of wisdom called chakras.
Each of the seven major chakras that we explore in this series, influence and govern accompanying areas of the body as well as the emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual states that impact our path into the self.
On a physical level, these spirals of energy correspond to massive nerve centers in the body. Each of the seven main chakras contain bundles of nerves and relates to major organs as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being. Since everything is moving, it’s essential that our seven main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. If there is a blockage, energy simply cannot flow and we can literally feel stuck in life.
The Symbolic Power of the Seven Chakras
Each of the seven energy centers of the human body contains a universal spiritual life lesson that we must learn as we evolve into higher consciousness. I take lead from the work of Carolyn Myss, one of my longtime favorite authors and someone whose work I followed early in my own spiritual development. Her book: Anatomy of the Spirit. The Seven Stages of Power and Healing. is another beautiful read of the chakra system and from where I directly quote and reference much of the teachings for the third chakra; our focus in this episode.
I’ll drop a link for it in the description. It is a classic. If you wish to read more on your third chakra, please check out the reading list I have prepared in the description.
Be sure to take part in the guided meditation that closes out this episode. It is a beautiful experience in balancing the beautiful sacred energy of this chakra. 🧘♀️💜 Namaste!

Self-Acceptance Is The Language of Self-Love
The WISDOM podcast Season 2 Episode 60
Self-acceptance is how you move into your heart. It is how you choose to witness yourself in the presence of wonder and great light. If you are listening perhaps you have contemplated what self-acceptance truly feels like; how it embraces all of you; how the majesty of what you are and what you hold becomes sacred.
To live in the acceptance of who and what you are is to live of your spiritual self. It is to hold true to who you are in the face of honoring what you seek to become; and in the presence of right action.
A part of what you will hear in this episode comes out of my 10-day course: ‘The Sacred Teachings of Being Love.’ You can find this course and others in The School of Wisdom. (This course is set to launch in the summer of 2021).
Self-acceptance is one extraordinary element to living whole and feeling self-love. It is intrinsically tied to how you live and respond in the world.
If you have been struggling to build your confidence. If your self-esteem has cause you to doubt your abilities. If your confidence needs to be reflective of all that you truly are, then sit back with attention; you may choose to close your eyes to take in all of my words as you allow this wisdom in to you; to be what you have been in search of.
Acceptance is the value of appreciation and approval. It is the inner felt knowledge that you are more than enough. It is self-love in words and actions that are spoken quietly to yourself and as you speak about yourself in conversation with others.
I share this sacred practice with you as most people struggle to feel true acceptance. It is a part of our inherent desire; to be approved of and accepted by others as a hard-wiring for our oneness. We look for ways to make ourselves better in what measures we believe will be externally valued - by society, media, religion, culture; when true acceptance can only be yours to give to yourself.
You may also seek to become more just to do this because it is important for you and for your personal goals and the desires that fuel your right action. Then, what improvements you pursue, will continue to benefit all of you. Think of self-acceptance as the language by which you speak to yourself as encouragement, as pride, as the methods by which you choose to hold value and self-love.
Here I share the most important builders of self-acceptance beginning with your ability to appreciate and be loving of all that you already are. You do this with gentle and kind words written and spoken and the ever-present appreciation for that which you do not take for granted; and that all that you are capable of.
My hope is that you will dive and take advantage of the skill practices of self-acceptance that I share here as an excerpt from the 10 day course: 'The Sacred Teachings of Being Love.' Self-Acceptance is the topic of Day Two of the course. This is one episode that you will want to dive into with pdf and pen!
Sending you much love....

Where Do I Begin? | A Real Life Client Story
The WISDOM podcast Season 2 Episode 57
Your answers are waiting for you.
💜
This is a natural response to the idea of beginning therapy for those who have never had the experience.
It’s a response that I myself, and the other clinical interns that I trained with all shared as we looked at each other with a blank expression and a little apprehension because after all, what if you had never spoken to someone about something very personal and private; and something that would reveal parts of your life and your upbringing and some of your behaviours were less than ideal.
Unsure of what it will mean; or perhaps not fully read to open Pandora’s box; to look at your life from a perspective of:
‘What was the impact of that experience on me?’
‘How can I reconcile that situation so that I’m not reliving it each time I think about it?’
‘How did those life events, and the way that I was raised shape my thinking, my beliefs, and my confidence?’
‘Is there a way to change what I do so that I’m not feeling stressed, angry, or sad anymore?’
‘How can I improve parts of my life so that I can feel and live happy?’ and
‘Could I possibly fix or heal that hurt or wound of the past?’
There is an answer for each of these questions, waiting for you.
Join me for the answers to where and when you would benefit most from beginning therapy, and the real life story of my client Garrett and his wife Dina and how the timing of therapy could have made all of the difference.
*The names of my clients have been changed to protect their privacy. Their stories are real.

Compassion IS LOVE
The WISDOM podcast Season 2 Episode 16
TIMESTAMPS:
Podcast Intro: 0-2:08 | An Introduction to this Episode: Part Three in a Series of Six of Beautiful Guided Meditations: 2:14 | An Introduction to Compassion: 3:13 | Kindness and Love is so Powerful: 4:09 | When You Offer Yourself Compassion... 4:28 | There are Many Reasons to Practice Compassion: 5:23 | A Prose Meditation on Compassion 9:56 | Podcast Outro: 35:56
In this part three of a six-part series of beautiful guided meditations, I invite you to open your heart and your mind; to witness yourself and the world in ways that remind you of how kind and peaceful your presence can be; how soothing and comforting your actions are for yourself and others, when you choose to walk in your life with greater presence of what it means to hold compassion; to be compassionate towards yourself and all others, for this is how you are 'love in action'.
Special for this series, I have written a new meditation on the practice of compassion; and of how you may instinctively be of compassion to yourself and others.
There is no greater offering when someone is less fortunate or suffering than to be compassionate; to feel for them and their situation because this is how you offer care and kindness.
Compassion is love. It is in being compassionate that others are able to feel your genuine concern for their well being; and to hold even for a few moments, the space and the opportunity for them to know that they are not alone.
Your kindness and love is so powerful. It is this sacred action of compassion that allows others to rise up, to be heard, to heal, to take the right action for themselves.
When you offer yourself compassion, you breathe in giving yourself patience to recognize where you are in your life; and you choose to offer unto yourself this gift of kind reverence; of patience and comfort, of understanding, of reassurance that you are not alone; that you will feel better; that kindness directed within is how you help move yourself into a state of peace, responsibility to what is needed and comfort in the knowing of your presence.
