How to Release Anger
+ Guided Meditation
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Bonus Episode 2
~ You release anger when you find peace ~ peace that lives within you." ~
💜
'This is a meditative experience within the spiritual teachings of self-integrity, self-love, of peace and tranquility ~ of guiding yourself into the present moment and to your heart and to the sacred presence of what miracles live here.'
Anger itself is a natural emotion to the perception that we are being treated unfair or unkind, we can at times find ourselves helpless to the overwhelming feelings of anger that overtake our rational mind. Anger misdirected and uncontrolled is destructive.
Anger rises up when you perceive you are being treated unfair and unjust. When another is unkind, disrespectful and deliberately hurtful.
Anger focuses your attention onto the injustice and damage that you are witness to. As you continue to dwell in its presence, you perpetuate all of its symptoms: annoyance, irritability, frustration and rage. This is how anger becomes debilitating.
Anger is built upon the experience of hurt. It can be a defence you hold as you perceive others treating you unfairly and unkind. It can be your justifiable reaction to trauma and abuse, and to any words and actions that deny you the privileges you deserve.
Anger itself is a cue (a reminder) to re-examine a situation from a higher perspective ~ one that does not immediately cast blame and to observe your intuition if it incites that another may be unfair in their treatment of you.
There is much that you will benefit from when anger is not your first response.
The meditative practice that I guide you through here is a practice that I use. It is one that I teach. It works beautifully ~ as you hold yourself accountable to releasing anger by choice.
Anger is not meant to be an emotion that you live in. The intentions that you hold for releasing anger are most important.
Let your anger be a cue to look within ~ for honesty and understanding and for you to change the scope of what you think and how you react to all of the situations in which you hold the power to choose what is right and best for you.
The rest of what you wait for is your own. It is the peace and tranquility of your heart returning to love and to this perfect state as love and conviction. Anger is not yours to hold.

Set Yourself Free
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Bonus Episode 1
~This is a message of healing and personal choice. ~
💜
Maybe it is one of the hardest decisions - to let go of another person and a relationship that you have had all of your life.
Maybe you have deliberated this for some time, and questioned yourself about your decision to step free.
This episode follows some of the earlier content of Season Three on the topic of abuse, of trauma, and of the ways in which we can heal ourselves.
I wrote this episode as a message of healing and to offer you permission to step away; to set yourself free from those who continue to be hurtful and who have repeatedly shown you that they are not ready nor willing to change.
Whether the pattern of abuse and trauma has occurred in your family of origin, or if it has existed in a workplace environment ~ and if you have felt trapped and unable to break free, let this episode offer you both the permission and the viable means in which to free yourself ~ to stand strong on your own ground of what you know is right and best for you.
Remember that you need to choose this because others have chosen to continue in their abusive and harmful words and actions.
There is no blame, only acceptance and permission ~ to live in peace.
I hope that my words here will help you ~ empower you ~ liberate you to live free.
Namaste! 💜

The Cycle of Abuse Stops With You | A Real Life Client Story
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Episode 34
- There is no power in abuse. -
💜
Ross’s* story is one of psychological and verbal abuse and the damaging effects that cast a pattern of believing and living as a victim.
To live your life entrenched in the sadness and suffering of your past is to carry the baggage of victimhood with you.
This inner and often outer label that you have given yourself imparts confusion and self-doubt. Its mark is one of unworthiness and feeling undeserving of love.
You struggle with this because at your core, you know that you are worthy. It is just that it can be difficult to find and feel evidence for this.
The damage inflicted by a repetitive cycle of the trauma of abuse is not entirely known until some later time in our life in which we find ourselves reliving the pattern ~ the experience ~ the rhythm ~ quite innocently.
The nature of abuse that begins in childhood can be concealed with the cursory titles of ‘father’ and ‘mother’ ~ of caregiver, family member, elder, sibling, and ‘family friend’.
It becomes confusing when a parent or another caregiver is the abuser because this person is supposed to be a protector of our safety and a nurturer of our care and love.
As you are listening, this episode will help define your experience. Having a name for the behaviour that you were the recipient of, will give you the ability to better understand why this relationship has been so damaging and why you have continued to suffer.
This is how you heal from the damage you have suffered. You heal first as you name the abuse and then as you choose to no longer live it.
I recognize that this may be a new way of thinking about what has caused you to suffer.
You may in your journey of healing also wish to speak with someone who can help you reclaim your power.
If you would like my help as you stop the cycle of abuse and to what you have suffered, please reach out to me. Let me help.

The Voice of Trauma
The WISDOM podcast Season 3 Episode 33
💜
~ When you give your traumatic experience a voice it means that you do more than retell the story or ruminate on the anxiety and fear from a victim standpoint.
If you are ready to release the trauma ~ to transcend it ~ ‘it’ first needs the expression of your honesty and truth. ~
In this episode we look to the importance of giving trauma a voice; of acknowledging the hurt that has been caused to you by another and to give a compassionate and honourable voice to help others heal what trauma you have caused.
“When you acknowledge your mistakes ~ particularly mistakes in which you have caused harm to another whether intentionally or unintentionally, you hold the power to help heal the relationship and the experience of another.
You also free yourself from the hurt that you have caused and you create the opportunity for transformation ~ to no longer cause suffering through your words and actions.”
Trauma is defined as: a hurt and a wound ~ whether emotional, physical, or psychological.
The way out of trauma is through active healing and the choice to no longer live as a victim.
To give trauma a voice is to acknowledge where you are in relation to your experience.
Whether the trauma was fifteen years or three months earlier, it is still not of the present. It’s imprint can only cause you harm if you consciously or subconsciously continue to dwell on replaying the trauma ~ of what is the past and cannot be changed.
To give a traumatic situation a voice ~ is to acknowledge what wrong doing you are responsible for.
For example, if you lose control of your emotions and react with anger and this anger escalates further in your conflict into rage, and as you direct your rage at another ~ is it enough to say “I’m sorry?”
“I’m sorry” is a start. It is in the remorse and empathy you feel together with compassion for the suffering of another that you were responsible for, that you must give voice to.
Your voice is the acknowledgement of sorrow and the admittance of wrongdoing. This and any other steps that you can take to help another become the tools of healing for you both.
Trauma for any past situation is the trauma that you need to give voice to ~ to say “this happened”. This happened and then I did this to heal from what happened.
This is how you live empowered to continue your journey of truth seeking ~ and your delivery into who and what you live now.

What's Beneath Your Anger?| A Real Life Client Story
The WISDOM podcast Season 2 Episode 81
A recent session with my client Hayley illuminated what we have all experienced; and what surfaced during our time together was the simplicity of what you can do to help yourself in situations where you feel an unwanted and uncomfortable emotion. In Hayley’s case, she identified it as agitation, irritation, and a growing feeling of anger.
I dove right in to the question: What’s beneath the anger? Hayley laughed and replied, “Good question!”
Sometimes we just need to stop for a moment and do a deep dive into our self. Our focus can be on getting through something or pushing past an emotion and we may not realize how important it is to stop and acknowledge our feelings. Hayley knew immediately why she was feeling unnerved and – her words: “unraveled”.
The name of my client has been changed to maintain confidentiality. Her story is real.
