These core attributes ~ integrity, truthfulness and self-honesty determine whether happiness is natural and instinctive – because when you have you have the formula for living a happy life ~ you can ensure that you can be happy as a choice.
Definitions
~ Integrity ~
~ the quality of being honesty and having strong moral principles, moral uprightness
~ a state of being whole
~ Self-Honesty ~
~ not telling lies
~ free of deceit and untruthfulness, sincere
~ trustworthy, morally correct, not false or misleading, genuine, virtuous
~ Truthfulness ~
~ actively making known to all the full truth of a matter
~ expressing the truth, accuracy, realism, being straightforward
All three are what allow you to establish trustworthiness, self-honor and dignity (self-confidence and self-esteem.)

~ Spiritual joy exists when you free yourself from attachments of the past and concerns with the future – to live in the present. ~

The seventh and final episode in a series on 'Happiness' & 'JOY'
Join me in this episode as I walk us through the sacred meaning of spiritual joy and share a WISDOM Note as you contemplate the practice of living in true abundant joy.
Spiritual joy – is an elevated state of consciousness that is built upon the practices of releasing the mind’s need to build and tell stories (of past or future) and to hold thoughts that are not serving to the nature of joy that you can embody.
This is a journey. It is a practice that I know you will want to embrace, for living the true meaning of joy.
The 'new joy' is spiritual abundance – the abundant nature of your life and the knowledge that all that you are is the perfection of life itself.
Spiritual joy is grace. It is the profound liberation of all suffering because the freedom of joy is in the present moment. ~ You must be here to hold witness to it.
Practical Wisdom:
Whenever you feel an absence of joy, Ask yourself: Am I living in the present?

Do any of your desires require greater discipline, self-control, or the fierce passion and unrelenting belief in what is wanted?
We need to remember ~ to remind ourselves that self-discipline is also a guiding approach to everything.
It is holding belief in our ability to manifest ~ to obtain or achieve something that we do not yet see or taste or touch in our material world and it is also the energy we bring to everything that determines our role in what we do and what we live.
If you are at the edge of a precipice in your life – if something is wanted and perhaps you’ve been struggling with this, whether a goal or a new habit or a different way of thinking and being and if you haven’t yet been able to get there, let’s walk through some of the ways that you can approach your desires with the inner fire of discipline.
And I’m also going to share one simple and powerful way that will help you get started ~ now.
But first....a few more questions to help you contemplate what is wanted in a very clear way.
What can you draw from that allows you to feel impassioned with life and with the aspects of your life that you wish to focus upon?
Where can you hold fierce discipline and simultaneously the benevolence (a devotion to do good and to be loving kindness) of living with your heart open to give and receive?
~ Tapas are spiritual practices that often involve a high degree of self-discipline, solitude and periods of deep meditation. ~
Because discipline works best if you are kind and patient yet firm and loving with yourself throughout the process.
What becomes for you a new and refined practice of discipline may be best practised as a spiritual discipline ~ as something that is acquired out of love and servitude to yourself for a higher goal or purpose that is beyond you ~ that is bigger than you...
and the way in which you can approach all of life then becomes a practice of grace.

What is your path of joy? How is joy your inspiration; leading you on your journey through life? Where in your physical being do you feel joy? How does joy reveal itself to you?
For my client Sarah, joy became a desired longing and a precious gift the longer that she remained out of joy.
In our session, Sarah reminded herself of her path of joy – of how it felt as the energy of lightness and ease and of the happiness.
Joy is experienced in the simple and deliberate expressions of gratitude and abundance. Joy is always with you. It is easily accessible as you acknowledge its existence and as you hold a place in your heart for its infinite love in the present moment ~ and in your pure witnessing of it.
The beauty of joy is that it acts as a road map for the expression of happiness and the inner fulfillment that honours your heart in light of your moment by moment choices.
Sarah would need to be wholly honest with herself to reclaim her path of joy. You need to do the same. We all do. Joy is easily accessible. It is the acknowledgement of all that you are in appreciation of, and the kindness you hold in your thoughts and words for yourself and others.
Joy lived in Sarah’s expression of honesty and acknowledgement of what she needed to be happy.
Could you live in your expression of self-honesty? Could you follow what is truly your right path, moment by moment?

All of us are on a spiritual path. When you merge your physical reality with your experience as a spiritual being, you embrace the wisdom of the love you hold in your heart as a metaphor for how you live.
Embody the practice of living as love.

New research from The Sleep Judge (an organization that helps people get a good night's sleep) showed that an astonishing 81 percent of people said they experience an elevated sense of anxiety on Sunday in anticipation of the week ahead. 15 percent of people polled in the study reported feeling dread first thing Sunday morning, 29 percent in the afternoon; and the majority - 57 percent of people reported feeling especially stressed on Sunday evenings.
According to a survey conducted by the job site Monster, up to 76% of Americans self-reported having “really bad” Sunday night anxiety, compared to 47% of people throughout the rest of the world.
Releasing each episode of this podcast on Sunday evening, was a decision inspired by this real phenomena that millions of people experience every week. If you or someone you know has experienced dread, anticipatory anxiety, panic attacks, a depressed mood, and disturbed or restless sleep on Sunday; wishing that you did not have to go to school or work, and a job or career that is unfulfilling and stressful and into the grind of another week that leaves your stomach turning with nausea and anxiety; then this episode is for you.
Here I'm going to share 10 best practices for curing 'That Sunday Feeling' and I'm also going to take it one step further. 'That Sunday Feeling' can be described as an internal smoke alarm. It is meant to draw your attention to what is not quite right; of what you may be unsatisfied or unhappy with; and the low levels of sadness or despair that you feel. That gnawing feeling is a reminder for you to take action towards the change you want; even if this may seem difficult, or impossible.
'That Sunday Feeling' may highlight the jarring truth that perhaps you have not made the most of your weekend; of planning and doing what nourishes you, including what chores and household tasks are needed to help you to feel positive about being productive and organized so that you will have things in place for the week ahead. For students dreading a return to class on Monday, perhaps you've left your homework in a pile on your desk all weekend, and now your Sunday is consumed with cramming in what you've often told yourself you should have started on Saturday morning.
'That Sunday Feeling' could also be because you have to face a teacher who is unkind or unfair; or peers who bully. Perhaps you feel like an outsider in your peer group. I also work with teens who feel the anxiety and dread every Sunday evening, but also on most mornings, because of the uncomfortable and unpleasant environment which can affect their ability to study and focus.
Life hacking your Sunday blues begins with recognizing when you feel worry and dread about the week ahead whilst it is still the weekend. My hope is that you experience the feeling of expansion and freedom that comes with enjoying Sunday as an incredible day in which you may look forward to, in part because you have made the space and time for yourself to do what you love.
